Jamey Black is a lifelong resident of Sheridan. He graduated high school in 1988. Was a proud 3 year Letterman on the Sheridan High School football team that went from 0-10 in 1985 to 11-1 in 1987 under the direction of head coach Don Campbell. Jamey went on to graduate from Henderson State University in 1992 with a Bachelors Degree in Business Management. Jamey then went to work in the family owned insurance agency started by his father Preston Black. Jamey has also been a very successful bass tournament angler gaining recognition as one of the top anglers in the state of Arkansas. Jamey has won a BFL Regional tournament and qualified for the prestigious All American Tournament in 2006. And has also won 2 Mr Bass of Arkansas tournaments. Jamey is also a accomplished musician and has been in many bands over the years. He has been married to his wife Melinda for 16 years and they have one 10 year old son JP.
